Medio Ambiente y el club de pescadores del Valle de Baztan firman un protocolo de custodia fluvial para proteger la cuenca del Bidasoa

The General Directorate of the Environment of the Government of Navarra and the Sports Club of Hunters and Fishermen of Baztan have signed on August 8, 2017 in the Bertiz Natural Park, the first river custody protocol of Navarra to work together in the protection from the surroundings of the Baztan-Bidasoa and Leitzaran rivers, as well as within the scope of the protected areas of the Natura 2000 Network of the basin.

The initiative was born within the European project LIFE-IREKIBAI and includes the conclusions of the process of participation of fishing in Navarre that has been carried out last year. Its objective is to involve citizens in the conservation and improvement of rivers and in the management of special Natura 2000 conservation areas of the said basin.
