The exhibition “Oztoporik gabe, hobe! / ¡Que corra el agua!” continues his roaming in Sunbilla. 2020/03/04 – 2020/03/13
The exhibition summarizes the main problem of the Cantabrian rivers, their fragmentation, and reports that salmon already reaches five kilometers from Elizondo. It is made within the LIFE IREKIBAI project.
From march 4 to 13 will be exhibited in Sunbilla

The exhibition begins through a recreation of the background and the environment of a river, and continues with visually stunning images, illustrations, maps, graphics etc .; which show us, what are the problems of river fragmentation with the story of a salmon in the first person; and on the other the lines that are being adopted from administrations in biodiversity conservation policies to improve our rivers. In addition, the measures developed and the results achieved in the European project LIFE IREKIBAI Ríos Open are explained: Improving connectivity and habitats in rivers shared by Navarra and Gipuzkoa, in which the Government of Navarra participates.
The LABRIT Multimedia company has made the exhibition in close collaboration with technicians of the Department of Rural Development and Environment of the Government of Navarra and the public company Gestión Ambiental de Navarra GAN-NIK. The latter has been precisely responsible for coordinating the exhibition within the framework of the European LIFE IREKIBAI project.
The exhibition seeks to promote greater knowledge about the river generating interest and sensitivity towards its conservation, and to publicize the work carried out by the Department through the LIFE IREKIBAI project.
The LIFE IREKIBAI project has partners from the Basque Country (Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa, URA and HAZI Foundation) and Navarra (Government of Navarra through GAN), which unite their capacities and competences to guarantee the conservation status of habitats and species of community interest of Natura 2000 spaces located in the Bidasoa and Leitzaran river basins. The European financial instrument for the environment LIFE finances 60% of this project (LIFE14 NAT / ES / 186 IREKIBAI)
