The General Directorate of the Environment and the Fishermen’s Club “Nazas del Bidasoa” have signed the second protocol of River Custody in Navarra to work together in the protection of the environment of the Bidasoa River, as well as in the area of protected areas of the Network Natura 2000 of the basin.
The initiative was born within the European LIFE-IREKIBAI project, with the aim of involving citizens in the conservation and improvement of rivers and in the management of special Natura 2000 conservation areas.
The agreement was signed on October 20, in the Bertiz Natural Park, by the Director General of Environment and Land Management, Eva García Balaguer, and by the club president, Martín Urdánoz Erviti.
